Anye’a Pinnock, Licensed Therapist

Anye’a Pinnock is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A) in North Carolina. She earned her Master’s in Counseling and Rehabilitation from the University of South Carolina.

Anye’a works with individuals across the lifespan and has experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through a wide range of challenges. She especially enjoys working with children and adults, helping them build emotional regulation skills, manage anxiety, and heal from trauma. She also has experience working with children on the autism spectrum, using play therapy and other creative approaches to promote growth, connection, and self-expression. With adults, Anye’a focuses on helping clients navigate anxiety, relationship stress, family dysfunction, and the lingering effects of past trauma guiding them toward greater balance, clarity, and self-compassion.

In her therapeutic approach, Anye’a integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Ecosystemic Family Therapy, tying much of her work back to mindfulness, self-awareness, and compassion. She believes that healing begins with genuine connection, and she strives to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Outside of the therapy room, Anye’a finds joy in creativity and service. She loves decorating and helping others design spaces that reflect their personalities and needs a hobby that parallels her therapeutic philosophy of creating environments where people can flourish. She is also a proud member of the Army National Guard, where she continues to cultivate resilience, discipline, and a deep commitment to helping others values that strongly influence her work as a counselor. Her love for family and her passion for bringing warmth and light into the world are reflected in everything she does.

"I believe that every individual is unique, with experiences tailored directly to them and that they have autonomy to shape their journey. My biggest hope is not just to help people cope, but to help them thrive. If you're ready to take the next step in your experience, I'd be honored to walk alongside you. As Aubrey Graham says, 'Everybody dies, but not everybody lives.' It's my goal to help you live fully."
